From dairy goat and rabbit farming to forage and herbs production, where milk is the primary focus and meat being secondary.
We produce wholesome artisanal products such as chevre’ (goat’s cheese), yogurt and milk (flavoured and plain) and rabbit meat. We also produce breeding stock in both rabbits and goats so that other farmers, can access quality breeding stock. Our pastures (grasses and legumes for our goats and rabbits) as well as herbs and spices (used in the infusion of our cheeses), are organically produced using rabbit urine (used as both pesticide and manure) as well the manure from the goats.
In our rabbit meat section, you have a choice between smoked and un-smoked and rabbit quarters or rabbit cuts.
Our dairy goats produce good quality milk from which we convert it to goat’s cheese in flavours such as hickory, garlic, herbs and spices as well as plain. Yogurt and milk comes in flavours such as strawberry, vanilla, beetroot and plain.
In the intensive system farm grown forages such as Napier/Elephant grass, Gliricidia and Trichantera are used along with agro byproducts and fed to the animals according to there stage of growth, bodyweight and physiological condition.
A small feedmill was acquired so rations are formulated using locally and regionally available byproducts such as rice bran, brewers grain, wheat middlings and copra/coconut meal along with limestone and minerals and vitamins mix and molasses as a binding agent.
The formulation of the rabbit feed is a bit different 70% of the formulation is forages (grass and legumes) while the next 30% is the byproducts such as brewers grain, rice bran and copra meal with added minerals and vitamins and calcium, where everything is mixed then pelleted.
